My mother and sister are expert ebay-ers. They get all kinds of steals on great stuff, especially baby stuff. I've never managed to get into ebay, preferring to browse dusty thrift stores and rummage sales in person. But with the high turn-over rate of baby supplies I think I may need to get into the game. Does anyone else use ebay?

I've used ebay for a good many years but only when trying to find specific collectables that you just can't find at random thrift stores. I used craigslist for a while when looking for furniture and golf clubs.
I believe the key to making good finds on ebay is to be very specific about what you want. Know brands, sizes and prices.
The great thing about shopping on ebay is you don't have to hassle with lines or trying on things or spending more than you want.
Dad gets competitive with ebay and wants to "win". I set a specific limit and don't care if I get the thing or not--I only want the item if it is a "good deal".
I used to be addicted to ebay before I got married. Then my wasteful spending had to stop. I've only gotten a few used baby goods. Like the first person said, craigslist is good for baby stuff. I got a used bjorn on there that was in great shape for $15.
Ebay and craigslist are great. Katy and I picked up a fancy stroller and car seat combination that was very well maintained for 1/4 the price it would have cost us otherwise.
