When the kids start drawing I can't resist trying out their crayons. My conclusion: Most kid art stuff (like crayola) is awful. Pale waxy crayons, crumbly chalk, goopy paint - ick. No wonder they only scribble.
Miriam looks so great in all that color! She is such a pretty girl. Lily is jealous that she doesn't have a rainbow dress - not that she doesn't try to dress herself in all colors every day anyway (red shirt, blue, hot pink, and yellow 3-tiered floral skirt, purple socks, pink crocs. yeah, I guess that counts!)
Tru dat, Katy. They're the worst. Then when Hazel was a toddler I discovered Sakura Cray-Pas and got the big box of 50 - so soft and vibrant that I hid them away until she could appreciate them, how backwards is that? In shame, I will pull them out for the girls this week.

I try to have Shelby use my colored pencils instead. I think they are more fun for both us
