Pick Your Candidate

We all know elections are coming up. While many of you may not believe this, I really try hard to be open minded to every candidate (democrat and republican) and give my support to the person whose policy I most agree with. That's why I absolutely LOVE these Candidate quizzes. You can take the Washington Post's here.

You read a question and select the response that you most agree with. At the end of the quiz you find out who you support. It's a great way to go through and examine your own feelings on the issues and recognize candidates that you may have overlooked or dismissed too early. Sometimes it can be a bit of a wake up. I have to admit I cringed a little every time I realized I agreed with Giuliani. But don't worry, that only happened once or twice out of the twenty five questions.

That is a great quiz too - I wish more people would vote based on the issues rather than along strict party lines, which are so polarized and arbitrary.

Wow, great displacement activity for someone who is avoiding studying for finals. That took a ton of time...since I vote Rep and Dem depending on the person I did both quizzes. I ended up agreeing most with Mike Richardson and Obama was my #2 for the Dems and Huckabee and Mitt as my #2 for the Rep. Interesting

Katy, this is too weird. I put this exact link up on my blog today. Strange. I guess great minds think alike.

I was surprised at my results. Thanks for posting this. I had been looking for a way to compare the various positions. It was fun reading all of those... made me feel like there really is hope for changes in America! however, I only read about the democratic candidates- hehehe. hopefully it's not all empty rhetoric.

I ended up having a lot of agreement with John Edwards and Obama... not so much with clinton which surprised me. I still want to vote for her just b/c so many people are opposed to her solely b/c they're (closet) sexist... but then I guess I would just be dropping to their level...
