After dinner most evenings we've taken to enjoying the evening air on our back porch. Tonight we were up to our usual activities. Reuben was shooting baskets and Aaron and I were catching up when all of a sudden Reuben stopped shooting, dropped the ball and ran quickly in my direction. We both assumed he wanted to be picked up. Chivalrous Aaron attempted to divert his attention. He said, Here Reuben, come to Dada. Dada will pick you up. Reuben lithely dodged him and exclaimed No. Mama! When he reached my side he promptly leaned over my lap and threw up on me. I'm not sure if I should feel flattered or a little hurt that I'm the parent Reuben feels most comfortable throwing up on.
This picture isn't our back porch. It's the most recent picture I have of Reuben. He's playing in the plants at the botanical garden by our house. I love botanical gardens.

I think it's a compliment...
This picture of Reuben reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.
i'd like to see a sketch of that picture. I think it would be cute! Your kids will love the sketches you do of them, they will be priceless!
