If you have ever thought about taking a recommendation from me, even just one, I advise you to take this one. Check out Elna Baker. She's smart, hilarious and insightful writer-comedian. She's also a faithful single Mormon living in NYC. She's the sort of person that I alternate between wishing I was and wishing would be my best friend.
The closest I'll probably get to that happened last week. She and I were both recommended by the Exponent II. We were in the SAME article together! Me for my nursery blog and her for her very cool life. The contrast isn't lost on me. Ahhh, cruel fate...

On the surface a superficial (and snarky) question, but it does pose, in a sense, the eternal paradox about living in the world, but not of the world.
Go Elna!
Katy - you're my hero. As soon as I can figure out how to post a link in a blog entry (my goal for this evening, post kiddo bed time), I am going to do a shout-out to your nursery blog. GREAT stuff there! I am also e-mailing the link to our Primary Pres. so she has it for the upcoming teacher training.
Did you notice that Tona's blog for YW (Beginnings New) was also mentioned in the Exponent II list? What a family I belong to!
I hadn't heard of Exponent II, thanks for sharing. That's cool that you were highlighted!
I like the mobile that you made with the kids last week.
